According to the Secretary General of Azerbaijan Lawyers Confederation (ALC) Nadir Adilov, the Annual Congress of the International Bar Association (IBA) had been conducted in Madrid. During the event Azerbaijani Lawyers Confederation was accepted for full membership by the unanimity votes of the IBA Council.
During the visit to Madrid, chairman of ALC, Member of Parliament Ali Huseynov, Secretary General of ALC Nadir Adilov and International Secretary Ramil Iskandarov were met by the President of the IBA Dr. Fernando Pelaez-Pier and Executive Director of the IBA Mark Ellis. At the meeting the global importance of the IBA has been discussed and the President of IBA congratulated ALCs’ chairman on the occasion of obtaining full membership at IBA. Ali Huseynov suggested conducting one of the future events of the IBA in Azerbaijan.
According to Nadir Adilov, International Bar Association is uniting around 195 association members consisting from the national bar associations and law societies as well as 30000 individual members. The main aim of the IBA is to provide assistance to the global legal community for sharing experiences. |
