Every lawyer and person working on human rights in Azerbaijan and Eurasia region can become a member of the assosiation. The admission to a membership is realized by executive body of the association. In order to become a member the applicant should apply to the board of the association in written form. The application is considered within a month and if the majority of the board members makes positive decision the applicant becomes a member of the association.
The members of the association have the following rights:
- to participate in management of the organization according to the decree and other documents of the association;
- to elect and to be elected to any elective body of the association;
- to participate in the meetings, seminars and trainings organized by the association;
- to receive information about activities of the managerial bodies of the association and realization of control over them;
- to apply to association for protection of their rights;
- to participate in the meeting related to his/her rights and duties and make protest and complains.
The members of the association have the following duties:
- to follow the by-laws of the association and also norms of ethics and conduct;
- to fulfil the decisions of elective bodies of the association;
- to follow the requirements of the by-laws of the association.
The liquidation of the membership can be realized in the following cases:
- rejection of the membership by member's own will;
- removal from the mebership by the decision of the executive body of the association;
- contradictive acts made by the member to the by-laws of the association.
